Downtown
Boise is a great place during the summer. The Grove is in the
center of town and this fountain is designed for playing in and
yes I have been in it more then a few times. |
|
I was very tempted on this morning to get in and play
but sloggy sneakers are just no fun. |
 |
 |
The best
time to get in and wet and wild is on Wednesdays at Alive after
5 which is a concert series that goes on all summer it gets as
hot as a 100*+ but still people flock out to The Grove and they
turn the fountain down lower and the kids (and certain adults)
play in it. |
|
A great restaraunt
on The Grove is the Brick Oven Bistro which serves the best home
cooked food and some unusual stuff this sculpture fountain is
outside of their place |
 |
 |
You can eat
outside under their umbrellas and they have always been wonderful
about letting me bring a regular chair out from inside |
|
Another fun place is right across Main St. from The
Grove is The Terrace which is connected to a big parking garage
and filled with shops and restaraunts |
 |
 |
One of my
favorite places to eat on a Saturday or Sunday morning is The
Piper Pub and Grill which does a weekend brunch on the terrace.
The Terrace is in the shade till about 1pm most of the summer
and even when it is about 90 out (that day) it is cool and comfy
there. The food is great and huge servings. |
|
Other things
there are a great sushi place, a Korean restaraunt, an Italian
restaraunt, a really fun dance club and a lot of beautiful clothing
stores that sadly do not carry my size or price range and wonderful
camera shop I love to look at.
People joke about
Boise but actually we have tons of stuff to do and places to
go. |
